CTC Wings iCP
Do you have what it takes?
Entry criteria
To qualify for the CTC iCP Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- be fluent in English (verbal and written)
- produce a CRC (Criminal Record Check) basic disclosure certificate before training can commence
- be able pass a UK CAA Class 1 medical examination prior to commencement of training (Class 1 medical certificates issued by a JAA member state may qualify - please refer to the CAA website)
- satisfy any immigration requirements for residential flight training in New Zealand and the United Kingdom
Application
If you think CTC Wings iCP could be for you, firstly check that you qualify for the course and then complete the online application form. Your application will be carefully screened and if you meet the entry criteria, you will be invited to attend an assessment day.
However, if your aspiration is to become an airline pilot, it may also be worth your while checking the entry criteria for our CTC Wings Cadet route. If you don't meet the criteria for that, then CTC Wings iCP is the route to choose as, providing you meet the CTC Wings standard through training, you would then be best placed to progress through to the final airline stages of training through our CTC Wings ATP qualified pilot route.
Assessment
To give you real insight into CTC Wings iCP training with CTC and to ensure it's right for you, you will undergo an assessment day at our Crew Training Centre - Dibden.
The day starts with a presentation about CTC Wings and an opportunity to ask questions afterwards. This is followed by the assessment, which includes aptitude and numeracy tests as well as group exercises.
The final stage of the day is an honest, constructive feedback session and discussion on how you performed so you can make an informed decision about whether or not CTC Wings iCP is the right route for you.
If the answer is 'yes', we'll arrange a date for you to start your training alongside those going through the CTC Wings Cadet route. Your training will mirror that completed by those on the cadet route until completion of your CPL/IR at which point you may wish to considering continuing your training to take advantage of our airline placement opportunities through the CTC Wings ATP route (subject to having completed your training to CTC Wings standard and being eligible for entry).
