Flybe to speak at next UK Open Day
CTC Aviation will be hosting four open days at their Southampton (United Kingdom) Crew Training Centre during 2013. The first will take place on Saturday 9 March and the guest speaker has been confirmed as Captain Ian Baston, Director Flight Operations of Flybe – one of 17 CTC Wings approved Partner Airlines.
CTC’s open days are widely recognised as being an essential part of the research for anyone considering a career as an airline pilot. Visitors have the opportunity to meet the CTC team and tour the training centre. More importantly they can ‘meet the experts’ and gather information on finance and funding, selection and CTC’s training in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
At the first 2013 Open Day, Captain Baston will be speaking at two sessions so visitors can choose whether to attend in the morning or the afternoon. One of CTC’s Directors will also deliver a talk on the company’s current placement activity and both will be on hand to answer questions from the audience.
“Our open days are extremely popular and fill up very quickly indeed, so we have decided to put on an extra event this year. Our March event is almost full already! We have just released our May date for people to start registering and the guest speaker details will be announced very soon, so we suggest those interested log on and book their place as soon as possible” said Karen Bath, Head of Corporate Communications for CTC Aviation.
Throughout the day both current cadets in training and graduate pilots now working for various CTC Wings Partner Airlines will be on hand to answer questions and share their own experiences. “Thorough research to ensure you make a good career choice and select the right training provider for you is essential” Karen continues. “Making sure you select a flight school with robust selection practices, high training standards and genuine airline connections to give you the very best chance of placement when you complete training is vital. We will have cadets on hand who are currently in training on our “Flybe Wings” and “Monarch Wings” programmes, as well as those who were selected from the 2012 intake for the British Airways Future Pilot Programme. It’s great that they volunteer to help out at these days to share their own experiences and help others get the answers they need.”
CTC Aviation is currently completing the selection process for the 2013 intake to the British Airways Future Pilot Programme (FPP), as well as ongoing selection for the CTC Wings programme. Airline Placement Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of CTC Aviation Group Limited, manages the entire FPP on behalf of British Airways.
