CTC Aviation is now a major force in the New Zealand airline pilot training market. We opened our Hamilton Crew Training Centre in April 2005. Since then, we have trained over 130 pilots and flying instructors and we're growing our capability to train up to 190 future airline pilots at one time.
CTC's programmes are differentiated from other pilot training schemes, being airline focused in content and syllabus.
In Hamilton, CTC also conducts airline pilot training for overseas trainees in support of our UK sister company's CTC Wings routes. The trainees, destined for major European airlines, including easyJet, spend a total of 12 months training in New Zealand before returning to the UK to complete flight training.
CTC Aviation Training (NZ) Limited. is a division of CTC Aviation Group plc; one of the world's leading providers of airline pilot training, consultancy and support services to the global airline industry. Through its Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, CTC Aviation trains over 1,200 airline pilots each year. The Group's multiple international locations mean it is ideally placed to service the international demand for airline pilot training.
Based at Hamilton Airport on New Zealand's North Island and adjacent to the main runway; the 19,000sq ft Crew Training Centre offers several flight simulators, briefing rooms, lecture rooms, planning and operation facilities. You'll be flying DA20 Katanas, Alpha 160A's or Cessna 172s during the single-engine phase and the twin-engine Diamond DA42 Twin Stars when you progress onto ME flying.
Clearways Accommodation Centre
Our purpose built crew accommodation complex, Clearways, was built in 2006 for cadet accommodation during their training. Four of the accommodation buildings contain 24 studio rooms, a central kitchen, lounge, laundry and storage area. The fifth, most recently added block has 32 rooms. As you would expect, there is also a gym on site as well as other sporting and leisure facilities. Clearways is just a few kilometres from the Crew Training Centre - Hamilton and we have a fleet of CTC Wings minibuses for each course to make use of during your training.
Clearways is just one of the nearby residential facilities utilised during our training programmes by CTC trainees.
