About the programme
CTC Aviation offers a CAANZ Part 141 Approved Instructional Techniques Course (ITC) for training to become an Instructor.
This training is delivered over four days and generally takes place at our Crew Training Centre - Hamilton, (near the Hamilton International Airport).
The course not only teaches the techniques of instruction, but also demonstrates the techniques and enables trainees to put their new skills into practice.

An Instructional techniques course is mandatory for any trainee Flight Instructor in NZ and the requirements are outlined in CAANZ Rule Part 61 and AC61.18 Appendix II. CTC's course exceeds all of the listed requirements.
The course cost is $851 (gst incl.) for the four day programme. Lunch is provided each day, and all course materials and a handbook are supplied.
Accommodation may be available at our Crew Accommodation Centre, Clearways, (at an additional cost) depending on current pilot trainee numbers. Please ask about accommodation when enquiring or registering for the course.

Course Facilitator
Raewyn Calvert
CTC's Instructional Techniques Course (ITC) in New Zealand is delivered by Raewyn Calvert. Raewyn is a qualified teacher with years of experience across a variety of age groups - from teaching primary school children to lecturing adults at Polytechnic.
Raewyn has applied her teaching and facilitation skills to a broad range of subjects, including teaching adults in childbirth education and road safety. She has been teaching the Aviation Instructional Techniques course for over 15 years.
Raewyn has worked closely with CAANZ to ensure the Instructional Techniques Course meets all of the required objectives and intentions.
