Crew Training Centre - Bournemouth is the UK training centre for pilots in the early stages of training with our various European ab-initio programmes, including "CTC Wings" and our modular training programme, "CTC Takeoff". Pilots with "CTC Wings" and our tailored cadet programmes for our European client airlines will complete their Instrument Rating training here on their return from New Zealand.
Bournemouth International Airport is a key national and international gateway to Southern England, annually serving around 800,000 passengers and 45 destinations.
The airspace here is busier than that of New Zealand where the majority of our trainees begin their commercial training, and ideally suited to fine tuning their skills in readiness for their airline careers. Resources at our Crew Training Centre Bournemouth include two Diamond manufactured DA 42 simulators and a fleet of four Garmin 1000 equipped DA 42 Twinstars as well as an Operations room, technical library, training and briefing rooms.
Our Executive Jet Centre is also located on site. Whilst you are in training at Bournemouth you will be operating from a live operations room which also supports our executive jet operation. Our Pilots and Flight Attendants check in through the operations room and our fleet of Falcon and Hawker aircraft are based on site. You will also see a Diamond DA-40 in operation out of Bournemouth - this is utilised for trainees going through 'CTC Takeoff'.
The training centre is efficiently run adopting airline procedures and disciplines wherever possible.
During this phase of your training whilst you complete your Instrument Rating you will be accommodated in houses in the local area that you will share with your course colleagues. Your accommodation costs are all covered by the programme and we source the houses for you so all you need to do is focus on your training.
