Dibden Manor is the official Group Headquarters for CTC Aviation Group Limited. On a day to day basis it is actively used as our Crew Accommodation Centre and Crew Selection Centre, but we do also run training courses here during busy times.
Located in the village of Dibden, near Southampton on the south coast of England, the Manor was built in 1906, in the style of Edward Lutyens and stands in nine acres of beautiful private grounds, between the peace and natural splendour of the New Forest and the thriving city of Southampton. Providing a relaxing, self-contained environment, visitors regularly comment on the welcoming atmosphere and the friendliness of staff. Away from the normal working routine, they are able to focus on their interview or studies and reap the full benefits of being immersed in an aviation environment mixing with fellow course applicants, course mates and our instructor teams.
Dedicated selection facilities are equipped with the technology to assess applicant's aptitude skills using 'PILAPT' - the Pilot Aptitude Testing system which sets the industry standard in computer-based-assessment for selecting military and civilian pilots - as well as assessment rooms for both group discussion exercises and more formal interviews.
Dibden Manor provides full board catering for up to 40 people. The centre has 18 comfortable en-suite bedrooms – each with study area – a relaxing lounge, bar and putting green. There are also plenty of free car-parking facilities for applicants and visitors.
A golf course is situated adjacent to the Manor and there is an excellent sports centre with a full size swimming pool just five minutes away. The beautiful New Forest is within a few minute’s drive enabling access to country walks and jogging/cycling routes.
The Crew Training Centre’s spacious classrooms are fully equipped for traditional and computer based training, and internet access is readily available to all trainees.
Simulator training is integral to our pilot training courses and CTC’s state-of-the-art simulator facility at Nursling, just eight miles from Dibden Manor, provides high-level training support for both Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Trainees on our ab initio programmes for client airlines or CTC Wings are likely to find themselves staying here at various points of their UK based training. It's like home from home with our great team looking after you, full board accommodation and a very relaxing, homely atmosphere.
CTC’s Crew Training Centre – Dibden is located on the edge of the New Forest, four miles west of Southampton and approximately two hours driving time from London. Our Simulator Crew Training Centre – Nursling is located approximately eight miles from Dibden Manor off Junction 3 of the M27 (West) on the M271.
7 miles south of Junction 2 on the M27 (West) motorway.
15 minutes drive from Southampton Central station, with frequent services to London and Gatwick
20 minutes drive from Southampton International Airport; 40 minutes from Bournemouth Airport (and our Crew Training Centre there) and just over one hour from Heathrow or two hours from Gatwick
From the M27 West, exit at Junction 2 and follow the A326 south towards Fawley. Travel straight over the first four roundabouts, past Totton and Marchwood. Pass Marchwood Priory Hospital on the right. At the fifth roundabout (approximately seven miles from the M27), turn left towards Hythe.
This is signposted to Marchwood, Dibden and Hythe. After about 300 yards the road drops down a short hill with the entrance to Dibden Church on the left. The road then bears right fairly tightly. Go slowly here! The road then bears left and at this point the entrance to Dibden Manor is immediately on the right.
